Previously seen by many as responsive, community-driven, and liberal, has, since his reelection campaign a few months ago, taken on conservative positions. From aligning with Mayor Brett Smiley to being pro-charter, and the controversy around his swing vote on rent stabilization, the community is asking:
What is going on?
He’s engaging less, limiting responses on social media, and has recently put out content glamorizing landlord perspectives on rent stabilization.
